In this lovely interview we get to see LOTS of wonderful pieces of work from Kate, who just loves to include hand stitching and embroidery into her patchwork quilts.
Kate shares with us her love of handstitching; buttonhole stitch, chain stitch, running stitch, feather stitch are all her favourites and she combines them with varigated thread to create wonderful results in her quilts.
She also shares with us her patchwork journey on several of the projects – problems she encountered and how she overcame them and the learning curve that she goes through on each new design.
Why not come and join Kate at our Stitching Getaway Weekend on 11 – 12 March 2017 in the Cotswolds. Kate has a lovely weekend of hand stitching for you, so you can pick up new techniques, and gain confidence in your needle skills and fabric choices with her new Runaway Sampler.
