Inspired by the works of M.C. Escher and Bruno Ernst, Helen has always been fascinated by optical illusions and fooling the eye by creating three-dimensions out of two.
This pattern shows you how to make a panel – ideal for a small wall hanging or a cushion. Or you could make more blocks and make a whole quilt!
Pattern includes full instructions for Helen’s favourite method of Foundation Paper Piecing (FPP) as well as information on putting the panel together and a set of foundation papers for you to copy, trace or print (from the PDF version of course) as many times as you like. Since this design is FPP it is ultimately scalable – make blocks any size you like!
Finishes to approximately 20 inches square
