In this workshop Jennie shows you how to use this great tool to ensure your block is perfectly square.
Known as Squaring Up – you will find that this is a technique that is used a lot in patchwork that has been machine sewn and this ruler helps you get that just right from small all the way up to 16.5 inch
The square has a series of lines across it so that you can see exactly where you are; then you will be ready to add borders.
Jennie reminds you that you need to have a 1/4 inch seam allowance left when you trim up!!!
Take a look at the Pineapple block that Jennie uses to demonstrate – next time your corners are out – don’t panic!
