Myfanwy Hart shows you how to safely change the needle on your embellishing (felting) machine – and with 4 or more needles on each machine this is a MUST.
A useful tutorial
A really useful little tutorial from the queen of embellishers – Myfanwy Hart – textile artist and dyer; she has worked closely with Janome and their embellishing machine.
About Myfanwy Hart
Myfanwy was fortunate enough to study City & Guilds Creative Embroidery at Woking with Marion Brookes, followed by the course at Windsor with Jan Beaney and Jean Littlejohn. Regular masterclasses with the late Vicky Lugg and Constance Howard followed.
Myfanwy now runs workshops in Hampshire and all around the country. Seriously involved in textiles for over 20 years she has been dyeing for almost that length of time and this has evolved into a range of gorgeous hand dyed threads etc sold online at www.sassalynne.com and also via her Etsy shop, www.sassalynne.etsy.com. As sassalynne.com is about to have a revamp you can find some items listed here.
Her textile art supplies business https://www.myfanwyhart.co.uk/shop-2– is a source of unusual dispersible fabrics, threads and embellishments, although very little is actually online (new websites coming very soon)! In the meantime, search within the ‘Shop‘ section of this site to find some items, and buy them via PayPal.
Myfanwy is also the author of “The Embellisher: let’s get started”. In her own work, she uses dyed and decorated papers, hand threads, yarns, fabrics and fibres which are often manipulated with the Embellisher as well as creating DVD’s in the Inspired range for Colouricious.
