These lovely little houses make into a delightful miniature quilt using shadow applique.

The whole project finishes approx 6″ x 16″ and uses tiny smaps of fabrics for the birdhouses and holly – which are kept in place with fine net through the technique of shadow applique.

You will never look at the scraps you throw into the bin in the same way once you have tried this technique!
