EZ Quilting Joseph`s Coat with Jennie Rayment
Template and Ruler Demonstration Series with Jennie Rayment • Educational, G, 01-Aug-2016
This would make a great memory quilt as it uses up scraps but you could make something smaller of course.
Jennie uses rotary cutter around the Joseph’s coat template – which is quite safe to do. You can find Joseph’s coat template in our website. Also don’t forget to always cut away from you and using a small rotary cutting board is often a great idea as this is easy to turn (or indeed invest in a turntable rotary cutter).
You can multi-cut the scraps of course which makes the best use of the rotary cutter.
The templates have of course taken seam allowance into account – which is assumed to be 1/4 inch.
Jennie likes to use just 5 pins per arc and shows you how to do this and of course this could be handwork if that takes your fancy! 6 sections make a wheel or flower and Jennie guides you through the sewing sequence.
You also get a great circular template for the centres. But you could use the EZ circle template sheet if you need a larger option! Jennie makes a kind of yo-yo over cardboard and again shows you how.
