Cylinder Method of Strip Piecing with Valerie Nesbitt
Classes with Valerie Nesbitt • Educational, G, 01-Mar-2019
The cylinder method of construction works well for patterns where the fabrics remain in the same colour sequence. The list includes Trip Around the World, Bargello Patchwork Patterns, Light and Shadow. It is a brilliant method for all sewers, as it is not dependent on an accurate 1/4? seam allowance – you just need to be consistent.
This is quick and easy with fabulous results. See how this applies to the Trip Around the World and Bargello patterns too.

Modern Flying Geese Quilt with Valeri...

Borders for Your First Sampler Quilt ...
Adding borders
This is the final stage of making the quilt top – adding two borders.
The first can be as a single strip with cornerstones, or you could echo the sashing and put this around – it’s when you have smaller pieces of fabric left.
