Clamshell Pansy Patchwork with Jennie Rayment
Classes with Jennie Rayment • Educational, G, 28-Aug-2020
The pansy is such a pretty flower and you can create this one with just 5 clamshell ‘petals’.
Jennie shows us two ways of doing this: the first is using interfacing and sewing so that you have turned edges (as she showed us in her clamshell workshop) and the other is straightforward fused applique with raw edges.
She has a clever trick to include the background yellow colour and suggests using the jewel template for the leaves (but obviously other leaf shapes are available!)
You can turn your project into a delightful cushion or maybe a small shopping bag.
