Personalize your Project
The easiest way to add words, names, letters, and numbers to your project is to use fused applique.
What is Fused Applique
This means that the raw edges of your applied fabric have glue on the back and therefore won’t fray – but you still need to do some stitching. The stitching choice is yours and will vary perhaps with the project. The most common are satin stitch, buttonhole/blanket stitch, straight stitch, and zig-zag.
You will probably also want to consider the type of thread to use – toning or contrast, thick or thin.
A couple of tips to remember
Valerie shows you how to easily cut out the shapes with the bonding medium on the back and a quick tip about reversing the image.
