This is a great beginners quilt as well as having some challenging options for thos with some patchwork skills. In Part 1 we sort out the medallion centre.
Medallion quilt
In this video Jennie and I discuss the fabrics we have chosen; talk about half square and quarter-square triangles and the way the grain of the fabric works with you and against you.
We construct the centre medallion from four half-square triangle units and tell you why we have opted to do this rather than use a large single square piece of fabric
