Show and Tell with Gail Penberthy in which she shows you a wide range of ideas and patterns she has designed to be sewn with redwork embroidery
Redwork embroidery is basically an embroidery backstitch, so very simple to do and here Gail shares with you a wide range of ideas which can be worked in the traditional red, but you could also be a rebel and work them in coloured threads too.
In the video Gail mentions:
Redwork mittens – which can be used as gift tags or tree decorations
Redwork gift tags – Luggage labels , bells, stars and baubles
Robin – Merry Christmas cushion
Noel robin wall hanging
Baubles set –
Snowman which comes with stocking instructions
Reindeer which comes with cushion instructions
Santa – which comes with sack instructions
and all of these come with the alphabet so you can personalize your projects
Finally – ready for next year maybe – there is the Reindeer Advent calendar .
And as you have the pattern, you could also think about using Gail’s pattern to create some of the designs in fused applique (which is another of Gail’s favourite things).
