The Northern States of Gujarat and Rajasthan are home to remote villages where tribal communities have been living and practising ancient craft traditions such as weaving and block-printing, embroidery and Bandhani for many generations. On this tour, you will visit several communities to see first-hand how artisans produce their renowned, intricate and delicate textiles.

  • This tour is escorted by an ECT Tour Manager and a Local Guide
  • All flights from Heathrow with Virgin Atlantic and internal flights are included in the tour cost
  • Accommodation is in a selection of Heritage and 4* hotels, on a half-board basis

  • Jaipur textile talk and workshop with local author and architectural expert, Renu  Bhagwat
  • Visit to Bagru Village to visit the block printing factories
  • Meeting with an artisan at Bagru Village
  • Meet the family in Jodhpur practising the art of tie and dye for almost 400 years
  • Visit to a Sadhna NGO in Udaipur
  • Visit to Modhera and Patan en route to Ahmedabad
  • Meet Patanis, famous for weaving Patola cloth
  • Visit to different villages of Bhuj in Gujrat
