Quick quilt – perfect for the Hampden Park Alzheimers Appeal

Here are two versions of the ultra quick and easy quilt that I’ve made for the appeal;  both are now finished (quilted, bound and signed) and ready to be sent off.

I was surprised by how addictive and pleasing it is to make quilts so quickly!

If you want to have a go yourself the how-to will be up on the website on 5th April and the quilts are needed by end of May. (more info on our blog: quick search Hampden Park)

Can’t wait?   Well I started with two squares each of feature fabric, cut at 12 ½” , sewn together the quick way by drawing the diagonal line and sewing the 1/4″ seam either side – pressed and trimmed back to a size!

Once these are put together as a square you need to add two borders and make the quilt eventually 40″ square.

and here are four lovely ladies  (well 3 plus me! )showing the lovely labels that were made by Lynda for us
