Launched in 1993 to mark the 300th anniversary of Jacob Amman’s founding of the Amish community in the Alsace valley town of Sainte-Marie-aux-Mines, The European Patchwork Meeting is now the largest patchwork festival in the world, attracting more than 22,000 visitors.
Unlike most textile shows, which tend to be held in exhibition centres, this one is scattered across the four picturesque villages that make up the Val d’Argent; Sainte-Marie-aux-Mines, Sainte-Croix-aux-Mines, Lièpvre and Rombach-le-Franc. With two full days at the show, our tour gives you plenty of time to explore the villages, attend some of the associated classes and conferences, and shop for the latest patchwork and quilting innovations.
Tour package includes: Return flights from Heathrow with British Airways including 1 x 23kg checked baggage, three nights bed and breakfast accommodation, return airport transfer from Basel airport to the hotel and back, visit to Ricquewihr, orientation walk of Colmar, services of an ECT Tour Manager, coach transfers to and from the Patchwork Show, two day entrance ticket to the Patchwork Show, welcome get together with tea/coffee & cake, travel disruption insurance
